Competitive Advantages | Features and Benefits | NCHRP 350 Testing Comparison & FHWA Acceptance

Please read the following key points when the FHWA grants an approval on a product.

The Federal Highway Administration product acceptance is not an approval of a product, but only a public service which indicates that in the FHWA’s opinion, the product meets the industry standards. In some cases the FHWA has accepted products that have not been physically tested. Only physical testing can prove that a product is truly crashworthy. Do not expose yourself to unnecessary liability without knowing if the product you are using is actually proven crashworthy.

When deciding on a ballastable traffic control product, it is important to know that the product has not only been accepted for use but also tested to the industry crashworthy compliance standards.
